The Liberal Arts coordination center was founded in 2001 with the view to coordinate organizational, academic, scientific research educational and other activities of the departments of:
psychology and life safety,
pedagogy,
theory and methodology of foreign languages teaching,
history, philosophy and social sciences,
general and classical linguistics,
Russian language and literature,
IT,
physical training,
translation, translatology and cross-cultural communication.
The major objectives of the center are:
Consolidation of efforts and resources aimed at the realization of the principle of university education integration, encouragement of implementation of state-of-the-art techniques fostering optimisation of the academic process.
Organization of joint projects in different domains including professionally and socially significant projects with their submission for regional, federal and international grants.
Elaboration of offers and recommendations in key areas of the academic process improvement.
Organization of effective interaction with deans and major disciplines departments for students' academic, research and educational activities.
