:: The department of the Korean Language
The professorship of the Korean Language.
The Korean Language is taught in our university since 1996. The beginning of the foundation is connected with the name of Yun Kha Dya. She has become not only the first and dear teacher but also the "second" mother for all students of our department.

This small, delicate woman was the one who formed the creation basis of the Korean Lan-guage department.

In 1998 the Oriental Languages faculty foundation was established the department of the English and the Korean Languages with Tatarinova L.V. as a head of it.

Teachers of English and Korean were working together side by side for 4 years. In 2004 the professorship of the Korean Language was separated and the teachers of Korean had finally got their long-expected independence. Thus that was the beginning of the Korean department. Nowadays our department is the youngest at the Irkutsk State Linguistic University. And all teachers are young too. The average age of the teachers is 26 years. All the teach-ers except the professor Pak from the South Korea are the alumni of the ISLU.

In 2005 two teachers of the department were studying at the universities of the South Ko-rea. The senior teacher Saaya U.N. - the Choson University, Gvandju and the senior teacher Anikina V.V. - the Soul State Research Centre of the Korean Language.

The teachers.
"Our teachers are professionals indeed. One understands it when immersed into the at-mosphere of the Korean Language, culture without noticing it, when one feels as an inte-gral part of this enigmatic oriental world".

She started to teach Korean in 1996 when there were no books, audio and video material and was a lack of teachers. And what the Koran department is like today is the result of her endeavors. She taught theoretical and practical disciplines. She is the co-author of such manuals as "The theoretical phonetics of the Korean language", "The theoretical grammar of the Ko-rean language", "The stylistics of the Korean language" and "Lexicology of the Korean language".

She was the teacher not only at the ISLU but also at the International department of the Irkutsk State University, the Irkutsk State Economic Academy and the Irkutsk State Polytechnic University.

In her opinion health is the most important thing in life. She is interested in the oriental medicine and lots of her spare time she spends at the dacha.
